Stray Kids will release SKZHOP HIPTAPE '合 (HOP)' on December 13th.

Starting with the mini album 'ODDINARY' in 2022, Stray Kids has been reigning as a 'global top artist' with five consecutive number one hits on the BillBoArd 200, including 'MAXIDENT', '★★★★★ (5-STAR)', '樂-STAR', 'Rockstar', and 'ATE'. With their original concepts and music, they have swept the world with their fans, and their new album is fueling their rise.

'SKZHOP HIPTAPE' is named by synthesizing 'SKZ', the abbreviation for Stray Kids, and 'HIP-HOP', and contains songs of 'SKZ's own new genre', like a new genre that has not been officially defined. The first title of SKZHOP HIPTAPE is '合 (HOP)', which is the sum of the eight members of STRAYKIDS and the English name of the hip-hop genre, 'HOP', which has a Chinese meaning. Meanwhile, STRAYKIDS released the first teaser video on their official social media channels on the 15th to announce the news of their comeback, raising fans' expectations.

STRAYKIDS exploded onto the world stage in 2024. The group headlined overseas music festivals such as 'I Days' in Milan, Italy, 'British Summer Time Hyde Park' in London, England, and 'Lollapalooza Chicago' in Chicago, U.S.A., and were honored as winners of major music awards such as the '2024 People's Choice Awards' and '2024 iHeartRadio Music Awards'. In addition, the group is currently embarking on a new world tour, which started off with a bang by becoming the second K-pop group in history to perform at the American Music Awards, and sold out all four shows at the KSPO DOME in Seoul. The tour BoAsts five stadium venues, including Singapore National Stadium, Melbourne Marble Stadium, Sydney Allianz Stadium, Kaohsiung National Stadium, and Bangkok National Stadium, making it the largest of its kind.

More recently, the group expanded their horizons by singing the theme song “Come Play” for season two of the Netflix animated series “Arcane,” which is based on the League of Legends (LoL) unIVErse.

In particular, STRAYKIDS has been enjoying widespread worldwide popularity with their latest release “ATE” and title track “ChkChk Boom,” which reached No. 1 on the Billboard 200. “ATE” has reached the triple-million mark with cumulative sales of more than 3 million copies on the Circle Chart and has been certified gold for the seventh time in its career by the Recording Industry Association of America with more than 500,000 single and album sales in the U.S. In addition, it is the best-selling K-pop album of 2024 in the U.S. as of September 30, and the fourth best-selling K-pop album globally, behind Taylor Swift's “The Tortured Poets Department,” Travis Scott's “Days Before Rodeo,” and Billie Eilish's “HIT ME HARD AND SOFT.

“ChkChk Boom” broke SKEEZ's own record for highest ranking, peaking at No. 49 on BillBoArd's Hot 100, a key indicator of pop market popularity. After becoming the first K-pop 4th generation boy group to enter the chart with the title track “Rock (樂)” from “樂-STAR,” STRAYKIDS added to their significance by scoring their third career charting with the English singles “Lose My Breath (Feat. Charlie Puth)” and “ChkChk Boom. In addition to topping album and music charts in the U.S., Europe, Japan, China, and the U.S., the music video for “ChkChk Boom” has garnered over 100 million views on YouTube, earning the title of “Most Viewed Music Video of K-pop's 4th Generation Boy Group with Over 100 Million Views.

As a testament to their strong global popularity, STRAYKIDS became the first K-pop artist to sell more than 1 million albums in the U.S. in 2024. Riding on the momentum, the group is set to end the year with a bang with the release of their fresh and well-crafted SKZHOP HIPTAPE “合 (HOP)”.
