Stray Kids will release their 1st full-length repackaged album 'IN生' on September 14th.
Through their previous album, 'GO生', Stray Kids proved their unrivaled presence by showcasing the essence of the 'marathon genre' that is unforgettable once tasted. They continue their rise through a repackaged album with a richer flavor.
The title track 'Back Door' is like an invitation to come in and join them at the 'Back Door' if you want to continue enjoying the excitement of their previous album '神メニュー'. It appeals to the taste of global K-pop fans with the exhilarating feeling of entering an off-limits space. The song utilizes a variety of instruments, including acoustic and synths, to create a festIVE atmosphere, and unique musical devices in the middle of the song make it even more colorful.
The group's performance is also noteworthy for its street vibe and playfulness.
The tug-of-war choreography that goes well with the lyrics "Ego ahhhhhhhhhhhh" in verse 1 and the powerful dance movements in the chorus "No one but officials allowed" are eye-catching. The choreography is reminiscent of a game of rIVEr rafting, making it easy and fun for global fans to follow along. The costumes, which are a modern interpretation of traditional hanbok, show off a mesmerizing oriental aesthetic.
The music video also shows Bangchan, Reno, Changbin, Hyunjin, Han, Phyllix, Seungmin, and I.N. dancing together with many people, raising the TENsion of the viewers. In addition, special filming equipment such as robotic arms and MCC (Motion Control Camera) were used to create differentiated scenes by moving freely in time and space.
The new album starts with "Hare and Turtle," a full version of the intro song "GO生" from the first album, and the title track, "Back Door," "B Me," "Any," and "Crazy (Ex)" are included in tracks 1 through 5. To these were added the unit songs from Stray Kids' first solo concert, "Stray Kids World Tour 'District 9: Unlock'" (Stray Kids World Tour 'District 9: Unlock', hereinafter 'District 9: Unlock'), and from track 9 onwards, the songs from their first full-length album, "GO生", which captured the hearts of K-pop fans around the world.
Especially, the unit song that was presented on the stage of 'District 9: Unlock' is a big surprise for fans. From "We Go (Bangchan, Changbin, Han)," which warmed up the atmosphere with its colorful rap at the concert, to "Wow (Lino, Hyunjin, Filix)," a song full of excitement reminiscent of first love, to "My UnIVErse (Seungmin, Ien feat. Changbin)," with its calm piano melody and lyrical emotional vocals.
The eight members of STRAYKIDS have participated in the writing, composing, and arranging of each album with 3RACHA, the production group within the team consisting of Bangchan, Changbin, and Han. On this repackaged album, they showed their musical growth by participating in the writing and composing of the songs on the album, and enhanced the compleTENess of the album by collaborating with writers who have worked with famous artists at home and abroad.
Track 3, "B Me," was composed and arranged by K-pop's leading producer earattack, who has worked with global groups such as GOT7 and BTS. Tele, who produced Lizzo's BillBoArd Hot 100 chart-topping track "Truth Hurts," also contributed to the composition and arrangement of track 4, "Any.
With their first full-length album, STRAYKIDS achieved their highest-ever chart debut (one-week sales on the day of release) with 127,930 copies, peaking at No. 6 on the U.S. BillBoArd World Albums chart. On August 27, the music video for "God Menu," the title track of their first full-length album "GO生," surpassed 100 million views on YouTube, proving that their popularity continues to grow. The group is expected to steal the hearts of listeners around the world once again with this repackaged album, which they completed with all their heart and soul.
