STAYC's first mini album "STEREOTYPE" released on September 6th!

'Idol with both talent and visuals' has become STAYC's synonym. STAYC, which has established itself as a representatIVE girl group of the fourth generation with its viral presence as a power center, vocalist, and performer, ended its activities amidst acclaim by achieving its highest record since its debut with "ASAP" from its previous single, "STAYDOM," from its second album "STAYDOM. With their debut album, "Star To A Young Culture," they sold over 10,000 copies in the first day and ranked first among debut girl groups that year, proving their power, and with their second album, "STAYDOM," they once again demonstrated their power by selling over 35,000 copies in the first day, far exceeding the sales of their predecessor. Immediately after the release of 'STAYDOM', the title track 'ASAP' was ranked at the top of the Korean music charts, and the dance of 'ASAP' became a big topic on social media and portals, increasing the awareness of 'ASAP' and gaining a lot of love from the public. In addition, the group has shown remarkable growth in global popularity, including being named as one of the '5 Rising Korean Artists' by the Grammy Awards and the 'Best K-POP of 2021' by Time magazine. The group has also been selected as an exclusIVE advertising model for cosmetics, headphones, and contact lenses in both domestic and overseas markets, receiving endless requests from the advertising industry despite being a rookie with less than a year since their debut. STAYC, who has grown even more in the love of many listeners at home and abroad, has returned to our side with their new album 'STEREOTYPE'.

This is STAYC's first mini album with a total of 4 songs, and the theme of the album is 'STEREOTYPE'. The title track "STEREOTYPE" is based on the genre of "TEENFRESH," which is STAYC's special signature, and contains STAYC's unique teenage elegance. The lyrics 'Don't look at me with colored glasses' convey the message of breaking away from the prejudice and stereotypes that people easily judge others just by looking at their appearance. Through 'STEREOTYPE', we want to let people know that there are many different colors and essences in us, not just one stereotypical color. Through 'STEREOTYPE', you can see STAYC in a variety of ways, from dreamy to funky, and it is highly anticipated.

You can feel the various moods of STAYC's music through the production of all songs by Hi-Up Entertainment's representatIVE producer Black Aid Pilseung and Jeon Gun, and STAYC's wide musical spectrum that unfolds in each song is emerging as an artist whose future growth is expected to be even more exciting.

The combination of simple and repetitIVE vocal samples and synth sounds maximizes energy and freshness, and the sensuous brass sound in the hook part expresses an elegant atmosphere that is reversed with the refreshing verse, creating a more upgraded version of STAYC's own 'TEENFRESH' and 'STEREOTYPE'.

The phrase in the chorus, "Don't look at me with sunglasses on," conveys the girl's desire to be seen purely and not judged only by what she looks like on the outside, and isn't that what we all want, not just STAYC?
