SEVENTEEN 2nd Mini Album `BOYS BE`
SEVENTEEN, the rookie group that garnered the most atTENtion in the music industry in the first half of 2015, is back with their second mini album "BOYS BE". With a unique group system consisting of three units - hip-hop, vocal, and performance - and the participation of all members in writing, composing, and performing the album's songs, led by producer Woozy, SEVENTEEN succeeded in gaining a unique position in the boy group world as a 'self-produced idol.' The group also succeeded in gaining the atTENtion and love of many fans by showing the image of a clean-cut boy with their debut song "Save Me.
Seventeen's second mini album, which is drawn as an exTENsion of their debut album, is described by the amorphous senTENce 'BOYS BE'. The title 'BOYS BE' reflects SEVENTEEN as they are, which cannot be expressed in a forced or formalized package, and at the same time, SEVENTEEN who will continue to move towards perfection. Adding the unique refreshing energy that is created when thirteen boys are together and the infinite possibilities of development that can be felt through the music they create on their own, SEVENTEEN's second mini album 'BOYS BE' was completed.
The title track "Hurray" is a song writTEN and composed by Wooji following their debut song "Save Me," and it features a powerful bass riff and a unique song composition and arrangement. With the outstanding vocals of the vocal unit, the rap of the hip-hop unit, and the choreography of the performance unit's leader, Hoshi, the song was completed with the fun and power of the 13 members. "Hurray" is an interesting song with an interesting development, where a boy shouts, "Wait, it's a girl!" and then shyly mumbles to himself, "You have blossomed." The song expresses the boy's love that SEVENTEEN wants to express with witty emotions.
In addition, the album contains fIVE songs, including 'Expression Management', which impresses with the hip-hop unit's different storytelling on a sophisticated beat; 'OMG', a track by the performance unit that makes you look forward to what kind of stage will be produced with intense EDM traps; 'When I grow up', which expresses the sadness of the vocal unit's feelings for love in a warm R&B; and 'ROCK', which impresses with its addictIVE chorus with a trendy synth-pop sound.
