'K-Band's Best Rookie' Dragonpony Releases Second EP [Not Out]!

An autobiographical narratIVE and an imperfect cross-section of youth, [Not Out] is now available!

Dragon Pony, who made waves in the Korean music scene with the release of their debut album “POP UP” on September 26, 2024, will release their second EP “Not Out” on March 19, 2025.

'Not Out', the title of the EP and the title of the main title track, is an expression derIVEd from baseball terminology, which refers to the opportunity for a batter to still run as a runner in a strikeout situation without being out under certain conditions.

The main title track “Not Out,” which compares the modern youth who are constantly challenging themselves to pursue their dreams to a not out situation, conveys the encouragement that challenging life is meaningful in itself, even if it is an uneasy and obstructIVE reality like a long tunnel. At the same time, it solidifies the will to move forward without fear, even if the end of the endeavor is a moment of despair. The lyrics are characterized by a fluent composition that places and dismantles instruments at the right time to maximize the emotional immersion of the lyrics, and you can feel the lyrical atmosphere and hot musical energy together.

The EP features two new songs, the main title track “Not Out” and sub-title track “NEVER. “NEVER,” which starts with a simple acoustic guitar melody, captures the emotions of a hesiTANt breakup with appealing vocals and a strong rock sound in the second half.

Also included are three songs that have been consistently loved on the offline stage: 'Waste', 'Selflessness (To. Nosy Boy)', and 'On Air'. The fIVE tracks cleverly utilize Dragonpony's wide musical spectrum, combining elements of various genres based on an authentic rock sound, from rebellious grunge to vintage textured blues to pop rock with clean, cool guitar tones. In addition, this album is also expected to be produced independently, with all members serving as main producers, writing, composing, and arranging all the songs themselves.

The EP [Not Out] contains the autobiographical narratIVEs of each member, and honestly reflects the current state of the group, which is passing through a period of uneasy youth. Through this album, DRAGONFONY will once again highlight the value of imperfection and share their shining energy with the world.
